My name is Holly and I'm the owner of Safe Sweets Bakery. I am actually a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, usually working on the Maternity and Neonatal Care Wards. I came up with the idea to start a home bakery business whilst on maternity leave after having my first baby in January 2025.
I have always loved baking and always dreamed of starting a baking business. But I was never sure what that would look like. I love baking and decorating sugar cookies, cakes, and cupcakes, so assumed I would sell those, if I ever opened a business. Never did I think I would be opening an Intolerance Friendly bakery, how awesome!!
Since the birth of my daughter, she was showing signs of Intolerance to dairy, soy and gluten in my diet, through my breastmilk. This was the beginning of my dietary elimination and the start of baking intolerance friendly baked goods. I am such a sweet tooth so finding delicious, sweet treats without gluten, dairy or soy, was extremely challenging.
One of my favourite treats is a delicious choc chip cookie. I've always gravitated towards the loaded cookie stalls at markets and have purchased the delicious Brooki cookies a few times! So naturally our first range of Intolerance Friendly sweet treats is 6 mouthwatering cookie flavours.
